Creating a Safe Visual Literacy with Dr. Colleen Carmean

Description

Critical thinking skills today are very different for students today than in past generations. Understanding media and visual literacy is imperative if students are to be safe, productive and knowledgeable digital citizens. This session explores some of the tools and issues that teachers across the discipline should consider in their preparing students for the 21st century.

This resource links to numerous free social-learning technologies for the next generation of teachers and learners and provides examples of how Dr. Alice Christie and Dr. Colleen Carmean use these tools in their classrooms.
