  • Write a 2-3 sentence definition of the the theme respresented in your caches and the importance of this theme in our culture.

Questions for your group to discuss and answer:

  • Describe what you found in your caches.
    • Cache 1

    • Cache 3
  • What author/illustrator was represented by the content of your caches?
  • What qualities are common among the books represented in your caches?
  • What qualities are common among the illustrations represented in your caches?
  • What materials were used author/illustrator represented in your caches?
  • Write a 2-3 sentence rationale to finding out more about this author/illustrator and reading/viewing books by this author/illustrator.
Lesson for a Social Studies Classroom

  • Describe what you found in your caches.

  • What theme was represented by the content of your caches?
  • What qualities are common among the content of your caches?
  • Bring a map of the United States and locate each on your caches on the map.
  • Conduct research to locate information on other "items" that could become part of your geocaches. Gather clues to insert in each cache.
  • Write a 2-3 sentence definition of the the theme respresented in your caches and the importance of this theme in our culture.

  • Write step-by-step directions on how to use GPS technologies to measure the lengths and widths of buildings shown in your caches..
